CAKES
If you would like to donate a cake, please telephone Gillian on 07761016583
The fete will be officially opened at 2pm by this years Rose Queen, to be elected from the Bugbrooke Brownies. You will then be entertained by Children's Races, Arts for Kids, Dance Display, the Duck Race on the brook.
There is so much for children to do here. Bouncy Castle, all the games, and joining in with the races. If you want to get in training these will be ‘bucket and balls’, ‘sack race’ and ‘football dribbling’ and returning this year, Teddy Bear Parachuting from the Church tower. Dont forget to bring your teddy.
No need to go
hungry or thirsty while at the Fete. Our refreshment area will be serving
afternoon tea including home-made cakes. There is also a barbeque
serving hot dogs and burgers. Plus, we must not forget to mention the candy
floss, pop bottles and ice lollies.
Try your luck
at the Clock Game, Coconut Shy, Football Game, Hoopla, Human Fruit Machine, Money Spider, Lucky Sticks, Sweetie Spin and Ping Pong Pots,
Wine Game and try your
skill at Chip up the Ladder, Tin Can Alley and Marble Madness. See if you can be
one of the elite fete gamers who actually manages to Splat the Rat.
The following prizes have been donated for our Sports and Leisure Auction and we hope for more before the day. If you want to bid for them before the Fete, then send your price via the Feedback Page of this website. Web bidding will finish at 12 noon on the day of the Fete, and final auction bidding will be at the Fete closing at 3.45pm.

There are
bargains galore on the Bric-a-Brac, Books and Garden Stalls. Homemade cakes are
for sale at the cake stall and individually dressed teddies are waiting for new
homes.
Because of the damage to the church roof during the recent theft, teddy bears will not be parachuting this year.
The duck race will take place towards the end of the fete down the brook and ending at the fete field. Ducks can be purchased during the fete, or in advance from Gillian on 0776 1016583.
Thank you for
agreeing to run a stall at this years Fete.
When you
arrive at the field, there will be an area designated for your stall with tables
and chairs as necessary. If you are operating a game, hopefully it will all be
set up by the time you arrive, but any assistance with this earlier in the
morning will be much appreciated. We have a stock of gazebos and parasols for
weather protection but only a limited number. If you have a gazebo or large
parasol that can be borrowed for the day, please bring it to the field as early
as possible.
A float with
suitable change will have been prepared. Could you please find Peter Wilkins
when you arrive to collect this.
Any additional
posters, banners or flags to decorate your stall will be most welcome.
The fete
officially starts at 2pm, however in the past people have started arriving well
before then, sometimes up to an hour before. If you have things to unload from a
car, you will be able to drive it onto the field up until 1pm.
If you are
able to help set up on the morning of the fete, we will be at the field from
8.30am onwards. Anyone with a van or trailer will be most welcome for moving
chairs and tables from the Sunday School, Community Centre, Campion School or
Football Club.
